Congratulations to PAL members who are celebrating noteworthy accomplishments. (If you have good news to share, please contact our webmistress Charlee Glock-Jackson at (253) 857-5604 or email ).

Daniel Smith -- Daniel Smith Art Supply store has honored PAL artist Patsy Surh O'Connell by creating a set of paint dots, based on Patsy's favorite palette.

Open Studio Tour -- PAL members Elizabeth Cox, Christine Hella Cott Thompson, Gary Jackson, Mary McInnis, Charli Meacham, Anne Knapp, Donna Trent and Lola Waller are among the 27 artists participating in this year's Open Studio Tour. The tour takes place Sept. 15, 16 & 17. Brochures and tour maps will be available in June. Don't miss this excellent opportunity to visit your fellow PAL members (and other artists) in the spaces where they create their work. The self-guided tour is free and family friendly.

Gig Harbor Arts Commission -- PAL is well-represented on the Arts Commission. The City Council recently appointed PAL Member Lynn Stevenson to serve on the Commission and PAL webmistress Charlee Glock-Jackson chairs the Arts Commission.

Congratulations to our High School Scholarship Recipients -- Every year, PAL awards scholarships to local high school students who plan to pursue their art studies beyond high school (a requirement to receive a scholarship).
Our high school scholarship winners for 2016 were Cassandra Skanes and Annabelle Yedinak from Peninsula High School and Tova Beck, Claire Gostin, Elyse Miyake and Zachary Thomson from Gig Harbor High School. No students from South Kitsap High School or Henderson Bay High School applied this year.

Congratulations and Best Wishes to these Rising Art Stars!
