    Special Recognition: Ezra Suko had three paintings selected to represent Washington State in the 'PaintAmerica Top 100' competition. His painting 'Twilight on the Pacific' received the Sallie K. Smith Juror's Award, and Ezra was also awarded the status of PaintAmerica Signature Society Member.

Mary McInnis had a painting juried into the Collective Visions Gallery show, and it sold! Also, two of her paintings were accepted into the Allied Arts of Ocean Shores juried show for April.

Christy Camerer's color pencil drawing was awarded Best of Show in the Silverdale Art Walk.

   2008 Open Studio Tour: Several PAL members will participate in this year's Gig Harbor / Peninsula Open Studio Tour -
Arvid Anderson, Sharon Carr, Alain Clerc, Darlene Dihel, Karen and Norman Geiger, Gary Jackson , Kate Larsson, Laura McClintock, Beverly Pederson, Judy Schiner, Donna Trent and Giorgina Calendaria Wells.

    Commissions: Eric Peavy recently completed a commission for a Michigan family who wanted to commemorate their family homestead, which had been in the family for generations. Eric is currently working on a commission for a wall mural with a solar system / galaxy theme for a Gig Harbor boy's bedroom.

Metal sculptor Gary Jackson recently completed an entry grate for Hawk Creek, a large residential development in Davenport, WA, near Spokane. Gary also completed a series of sculptural signs for four Bonney Lake City Parks.

    Newspaper and Magazine Features: Myrna Binion, Mimi Van Ballenberghe and Donna Trent were featured in a recent edition of the Peninsula Gateway promoting a show of their work from last year's painting trip toTuscany.

Arvid Anderson and Mary Lou Frank were featured in a Peninsula Gateway story about local artists whose artistic careers have 'blossomed' since they retired from long-time jobs.

Nancy Draper's jewelry was featured in the Winter 2007/2008 issue of Logan Magazine.

Charli Meacham was featured in the summer 2007 issue of West Sound Home and Garden magazine.

    Posters, etc: A pastel painting by Pat Meras was chosen as the 2007 Kitsap County Commemorative Poster.
